Manoj Bajpayee in a chat with Siddharth Kannan recalled how he was criticised for his performance in the 2005 movie 'Fareb'. He said after the film failed, a critic wrote, "Now Bhiku Mhatre of 'Satya' has become...porn star." Stating that the remark "really offended" him, Manoj said, "You can talk about...how [my film]...is made. How does that make me...porn star?"
