Data from RationalFX showed global tech-based firms have announced over 45,000 layoffs since the start of 2026. US led the list, as it accounted for 30,846 job cuts spanning across 43 firms. Australia saw 2,650 layoffs followed by Sweden (1,923), Netherlands (1,700), Israel (1,539), India (1,520) and Singapore (1,016). UK (1,000), Czech Republic (250) and Germany (200) also witnessed layoffs.
