A 38-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting a five-year-old girl with a hot iron rod after the child hid her pet cat in Mumbai. The accused apparently got upset after the child refused to tell her where she hid the cat. The girl's parents are the accused's neighbours and had reportedly left their daughter in her care.
