Australia opener Nic Maddinson, an attacking left-hander, returned to Test cricket after 10 years in the first Test against South Africa. The 34-year-old returned after recovering from testicular cancer, which was diagnosed last year. Maddinson, who scored 128 runs for Sydney Thunder in BBL 2025/26, has featured in four Tests and six T20Is so far, scoring 72 runs overall.
