Defence Acquisition Council has approved ₹52,000-crore defence acquisition proposals which include jet-based Kamikaze drone systems for the Army. These drones are frequently referred to as loitering munitions or suicide drones. They can remain airborne over a target area before striking with precision, making them particularly effective against high-value targets while reducing risk to personnel.
