Speaking about her journey, India boxer Lovlina Borgohain said her father once brought sweets wrapped in a newspaper which had an article on former boxer Muhammad Ali and it sparked her interest in boxing. "My journey began with martial arts, and then I moved directly to competing in national boxing," she stated. Lovlina will represent India in Paris 2024 Olympics.
