Satellite set to save NASA observatory from falling to Earth is 1/3rd its size

In a first-of-its-kind mission, NASA is attempting to prevent the two-decade-old Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory from re-entering Earth's atmosphere by raising its orbit. A robotic servicing satellite called LINK will grab the "observatory with its robotic arms and slowly raise the orbit to nearly 370 miles", NASA said. LINK, built by Katalyst Space, is about one-third of Swift's overall size.
