IIT Guwahati develops naturally cooling bricks that reduce indoor temperatures

IIT Guwahati have developed energy-efficient bricks designed to keep buildings naturally cool. The researchers applied Phase Change Materials (PCMs), a type of material that can absorb and release heat during phase transitions, therefore reducing indoor temperatures. The PCM-filled AAC brick, which is known for its lightweight, is very convenient to use in construction work, the institute said.
