Fire alarms at the hospital in UP's Jhansi, where 10 newborn babies died and 16 others were injured after the NICU unit caught fire, allegedly didn't work, NDTV reported. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said the hospital's fire safety audit was done in February, followed by a mock drill in June. Reports also suggested a lack of maintenance of emergency systems.
