How does a sweep-in FD differ from a regular FD?

Sweep-in fixed deposits (FDs) automatically move surplus savings into FDs while allowing withdrawals when needed. Regular FDs lock in a lump sum for a chosen tenure. Both offer FD interest rates but differ in liquidity, withdrawal rules, charges and flexibility. Sweep-in FDs suit those needing easy access to surplus funds, while regular FDs suit savings earmarked for specific financial goals.
