Internal medicine expert Dr Aisha Rana flagged common kitchen items that may pose health risks. She warned that scratched nonstick pans can release toxic fumes when overheated. Other items include old plastic containers, plastic utensils and boards, aluminium foil with acidic foods, disposable cutlery, plastic wrap, melamine sponges, low-grade cookware and non-food-grade plastic lids.
