Former West Bengal minister Chandrima Bhattacharya, a three-time MLA, resigned from all Trinamool Congress (TMC) posts just a month after being appointed the party's state president. She served as Minister of State for key portfolios, including Finance and Health, in the previous Mamata Banerjee government. However, she lost the Dum Dum Uttar Assembly seat in the 2026 state elections.
