Rohan Shankar, writer behind 'Bhooth Bangla' and 'Saiyaara', complained that Bollywood writers remain extremely underpaid. Saying their work "never stops" on set, he argued, "We need to start demanding money...We deserve fair compensation." While comparing Hollywood's royalty system to Bollywood, he said, "If I write a film that earns ₹200 crore, I only get the initial fee, nothing beyond that."
