A police official in Tamil Nadu's Namakkal district was suspended after a video showed him seated and talking on the phone while the national anthem was played during a government event. Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development Udhayanidhi Stalin distributed assistance to several beneficiaries at the event. Further action will be taken based on an enquiry, an officer said.
