US has imposed 10% tariffs on Indian exports to America over inadequate bans on forced labour. The tariff stems from investigations launched by US under Section 301 of Trade Act of 1974. Section 301 allows US to investigate whether another country's trade practices are discriminatory and, if necessary, impose retaliatory measures like tariffs. These tariffs don't have an expiry date.
