During the hearing in Delhi High Court, senior advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for Sonam Wangchuk's wife Gitanjali Angmo, noted that the activist sat on a hunger strike for 35 days in Ladakh previously without medical intervention. "The human body is such that we never know," the court observed. The court rejected Angmo's plea to shift Wangchuk to a private facility.
