Six states sign agreement for long-pending Kishau Dam project

Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana signed an agreement with the Centre for the long-pending Kishau Multipurpose Dam Project on Tuesday. The water storage and hydropower project is being built on the Tons River, a tributary of the Yamuna, along the Himachal-Uttarakhand border. The project was delayed for years due to disagreements over financial arrangements.
