An attack by armed men on an airport in Niger's capital killed 11 soldiers and two civilians, the country's defence ministry said on Thursday. The ministry added that 22 attackers were killed during the operation and about 20 suspects were arrested. According to reports, gunmen affiliated with an armed group attacked at approximately 6:00 am (05:00 GMT) local time.
