Whisky to be aged in space for 1st time
Engineers from universities in Scotland and Japan are planning to send whisky-making materials into space aboard a satellite to study how drink’s chemistry changes in space. The project could potentially pave way for space-aged whisky, which is expected to have "very bold" flavours. It could help develop orbital factories to make complex molecules that can be used for diabetes/cancer medicines.
