The Supreme Court rapped the Centre over the lack of functional CCTV cameras at police stations and asked why the "Kerala Model" can't be adopted nationwide. Kerala uses a centralised software system enabling senior police officials to monitor activities across stations in real time. The Centre assured that pending issues related to CCTV installation would be resolved within two weeks.
