Anthropic Co-founder Jack Clark said there still are plausible scenarios where AI had a "non-zero chance of killing everyone on Earth". During a lecture at Oxford University, Clark said it was important to clarify that the "risk hasn't gone away". He advocated that humans slow AI's development "to give ourselves more time as a species" to deal with its powers.
