Nobel winner Omar Yaghi harvests water from air

Professor Omar Yaghi, 2025 Chemistry Nobel Prize winner, has unveiled a machine that harvests water from the driest air on Earth. The invention uses reticular chemistry to create molecularly engineered materials, which can extract moisture from air. Yaghi's company Atoco said its units could be placed in local communities to generate up to 1,000 litres of clean water every day.
