Mexico shortens work week to 40 hours, employees to get 1 full paid day off per week

Mexican lawmakers unanimously approved a reform backed by President Claudia Sheinbaum that will shorten the workweek from 48 hours to 40 hours over the next four years, Bloomberg reported. The reform also provides for one mandatory fully paid day off per week. Currently, Mexican workers are not provided with paid time off.
