A Chinese biotechnology company has developed an unmanned ratoon rice farm as part of the country's push to grow 90% of its own grain by 2032. The world's first smart farm established in 2023 spans nearly 33 hectares of experimental fields. It uses advanced techniques for seedling care, sowing and enables a second harvest from the stubble of first crop.
