ChatGPT-maker OpenAI is restructuring core business into a for-profit benefit corporation that won't be controlled by its non-profit board, Reuters reported. It will make the company more attractive to investors. OpenAI non-profit will still exist and own a minority stake in the for-profit company. OpenAI Sam Altman will receive equity for the first time in the for-profit company, at 7%.
