Iran has told the United Nations Security Council that it may allow "non-hostile vessels" to pass through the Strait of Hormuz if ‌they coordinate with Iranian authorities, Reuters reported, citing a letter. Iran's Foreign Ministry reportedly stated in the letter that vessels will be allowed to pass "provided ​that they neither participate in nor support acts of aggression against Iran".
