Indian origin ex-Meta exec roped in for AI role at Uber co-founder's startup

Uber Co-founder Travis Kalanick's robotics startup Atoms has appointed Indian-origin former Meta executive Vikas Chandra as its Vice President of AI. Chandra, who previously led AI development for Meta's smart glasses, will focus on developing foundational AI models for real-world applications at Atoms. The startup is developing robots for industries including food, mining, and transportation.
