Haryana power employees call off strike after CM Saini's 'no privatisation' assurance

Haryana electricity employees called off their strike on Friday after talks with Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Power Minister Anil Vij. The employees said Saini assured them that private players wouldn't be allowed to enter the state's power sector and that parallel power distribution licences would be revoked. Gurugram and Faridabad faced prolonged power crisis due to the strike.
