Ants outperform humans in group-based problem-solving task: Study

A Weizmann Institute of Science study found that ants outperformed humans in solving the 'piano movers puzzle' in larger groups. Under the test, both groups of humans and ants were given a large T-shaped object that they had to move through a maze. The study said groups of ants acted strategically, exhibiting collective memory that helped them avoid repeated mistakes.
