Sensex ends over 800 points lower, Nifty slips below 23,500

The Indian benchmark indices ended lower on Wednesday, with the BSE Sensex falling 813.35 points to 74,764.23 and the NSE Nifty 50 declining 203.60 points to 23,431.50. The decline came as Brent crude crossed $100 a barrel amid rising tensions in the Middle East. Infosys, HDFC Life Insurance Company, HCL Technologies and Tech Mahindra were the biggest Nifty 50 losers.
