The Armed Forces are seeking an increase in percentage of Agniveers who can be retained in services after completing their four-year tenure. The percentage agreed upon remains 25% at present. The Navy will likely seek higher retention percentage of sailors at around 75%, while Army and IAF might seek an increase to around 50% from the current 25%.
