The ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) will conduct its twice-a-decade congress starting on October 16, state media announced on Tuesday, as Chinese President Xi Jinping is widely expected to secure a third term in office. The congress will have about 2,300 delegates in attendance. It is likely to go on for a week.
