Does PF account earn interest even after a person quits their job?

Leaving a job does not stop your Provident Fund (PF) from earning interest if the account remains active, linked to UAN and not withdrawn. EPFO calculates interest monthly and credits it annually, even without new contributions. Since 2016, inoperative accounts also earn interest until the retirement age of 58, debunking the belief that interest stops after three years of inactivity.
