A sub-inspector in Kerala was placed under suspension for allegedly making a Swedish national staying in Kovalam drain out liquor bottles upon failing to produce purchase bill for them. Steven had reportedly purchased the liquor legally from a government-run outlet. State Tourism Minister PA Mohamed Riyas said that such police action does not match with the state government policy.
