The Centre plans to hire 1,000 professionals to help exporters and local businesses benefit from free trade agreements (FTAs), multiple reports said. The new hires will work with businesses and exporters across India to locate underserved overseas markets and help them navigate and better utilise existing FTAs. This comes as FTAs with Japan, South Korea, and ASEAN reportedly remain underutilised.
