Ahead of discussion in Parliament on Vande Mataram on Monday, BJP MP Kangana Ranaut said, "The song which once ignited spark of our freedom struggle is finally receiving its due respect today." She accused Congress government of tampering with the song and trying to portray it as "anti-woman". "Entire essence of Goddess Durga was removed from the song," she added.
