Kerala High-Speed Railway project, worth ₹60,000 crore between Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur, proposed by 'Metro Man' E Sreedharan, will be world's first fully solar-powered rail corridor. The proposal envisions a 473-km high-speed rail corridor, cutting travel time between the districts to three-and-a-half hours. Trains will hit speeds of up to 200 km/hour, carrying over 54,000 passengers daily.
