A beggar died after a scooter accident in Kerala’s Alappuzha on Monday night, after which police found over ₹4.5 lakh in his belongings, including banned ₹2,000 notes and Saudi riyals. The cash was recovered from a container opened in presence of a local panchayat member. With no relatives identified, the money will be produced before a court.
