In a first, Supreme Court has allowed passive euthanasia for Harish Rana (32), who has remained in permanent vegetative state for the past 13 years. The petition was filed by Rana's parents. Rana, who was pursuing civil engineering at Chandigarh University, had suffered severe head injuries and total disability after falling from fourth-floor balcony of his PG accommodation in 2013.
