A rare red aurora was seen in parts of Ladakh at the Hanle Dark Sky Reserve in the Himalayas after a strong geomagnetic storm hit Earth. The red glow on the northwest horizon in the sky from about 1 am on Saturday continued till early dawn. "We were fortunate to witness Aurora activities," a Hanle Dark Sky Reserve engineer said.
