HCLTech has raised entry-level salaries for freshers, offering between ₹18 lakh and ₹22 lakh for those specialised in AI and other advanced technologies. This group of freshers is internally referred to as an "elite cadre" of engineers. "We've to be competitive to be able to attract the best talents," Chief People Officer Ram Sundararajan said at the company's earnings conference.
