FIR ordered against Puducherry U-19 coach who accused 3 Ranji players of attacking him

A Judicial Magistrate in Puducherry has ordered an FIR against under-19 coach S Venkatraman on a petition by Ranji cricketer Jayasundaram Karthikeyan. Karthikeyan is among three players accused by Venkatraman of assaulting him at the CAP complex in December 2025. Karthikeyan alleged that Venkatraman abused the players and attacked them with a bat, and that police ignored his same-day complaint.
