Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty opened sharply higher on Tuesday after the announcement of India-US trade deal. Sensex surged 4,205 points to hit an intraday high of 85,871.73 points and NIFTY50 skyrocketed as much as 1,253 points to hit an intraday high of 26,341 points. Under the agreement, US slashed tariffs on Indian goods from 50% to 18%.
