Govt orders takedown of 15 crypto platforms under PMLA

The government has issued notices to 15 crypto platforms for allegedly violating anti-money laundering laws and asked authorities to block public access to their websites and apps. The Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND) said the platforms were operating illegally without complying with Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. The companies include Weex, Blofin and Rezorex, among others.
