A delegation of Christian leaders led by DMK Rajya Sabha MP P Wilson met Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the proposed Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026. The delegation asked Shah that either the bill should be withdrawn or sent to the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). Shah reportedly told them that the bill was "religion-neutral".
