US startup picks ChatGPT over Claude as AI provider, says 'It's better'

AI coding startup Replit has made OpenAI its default AI provider for its coding assistant Replit Agent, replacing Anthropic's Claude as its primary model. CEO Amjad Masad cited better performance, lower costs, and a stronger partnership, saying OpenAI's newer models perform better at building applications from scratch. Notably, Replit had announced a partnership with OpenAI in August.
