Four players of Indian origin will feature in the FIFA World Cup 2026, the first time since Vikash Dhorasoo represented France in 2006. Tahsin Mohammed will play for Qatar, Nishan Velupillay for Australia, Sarpreet Singh for New Zealand and Samuel Moutoussamy for DR Congo. Their roots trace back to Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Punjab.
