Syama Prasad Mookerjee was the son of Ashutosh Mukherjee, who was called 'Tiger of Bengal'. Born in Calcutta, Syama Mookerjee formed Bharatiya Jana Sangh in 1951 after quitting Jawaharlal Nehru's cabinet. BJP considers him as its founding father, and his ideals influenced Atal Bihari Vajpayee and PM Modi. Bengal is part of India due to Syama Mookerjee, JP Nadda said.
