'Context bombing' is a defensive AI cybersecurity technique that uses prompt injection to protect against direct or indirect prompt injection attacks. Prompt injection attacks occur when hackers embed malicious commands to make autonomous AI agents follow them. Developed by Tracebit researchers, this method uses a planted prompt to make the model reject the hacker's request.
