The Ministry of External Affairs told the Parliament on Friday that Punjab recorded 154 complaints against illegal immigration in the last three years, but no prosecution sanctions were issued. The state logged 80 complaints in 2025, nearly a four-fold rise from 18 in 2024, while 56 were recorded in 2023. Andhra Pradesh had the highest number of complaints.
